Welcome to Kaaterskill Books, an online bookstore in the Catskill High Peaks region of New York State. Our business and home are both located on Parker Mountain, near the former home of Candice Wheeler, and right down the road from The Stone Church and The Mountaintop Arboretum. The scenery is outstanding, and so is the friendly community of artists, writers, musicians, and optimistic mountaintop gardeners.

We moved here from Boston in 2000, where we were in business as Eastside Books. We have an inventory of used, out-of-print, and rare books, many in American and World History, Art, Asian Studies, and Literature. We are always interested in buying good used books.
