Publisher's erratum tipped in on contents page Vol I. No. 6 of an unknown number of copies. This is the octavo edition; there is also a large paper edition. Vol I: Narrative Poems; Vol II: London City Poems, Sonnets, Lyrics and Translations. John Payne (1842-1916) English poet and translator, though much praised for his poetry by his contemporaries such as Matthew Arnold and Dante Gabriel Rossetti, is perhaps better known for his translations.
