One of either three or four editions published that year according to Sabin. In this, Webster's second speech on the Sub-treasury bill, are important remarks on Calhoun, on nullification, and perhaps one of his most graphic pieces in which he imagines General Jackson coming out retirement, walking into the senate, and looking across "to the seats on the other side."
