Translation of Relación de algunas cosas de la Nueva España, which was a translation of Relatione di alcune cose della Nueva Spagna. The original Spanish text has been lost. An Italian translation by G.B. Ramusio was published in his "Terzo volvme delle navigationi et viaggi ... Venetia, 1556." It was translated from the Italian into Spanish by Joaquin Garcia Icazbalceta, and published in his "Coleccion de documentos para la historia de Mexico," v. i, Mexico, 1858. The present English translation is from this Spanish text. Originally published by the Cortes Society in 1917 in a limited edition of 250 copies.
