Affidavit of April 22, 1869. Superior Court of the City of New York. David Ogden against Fernando Wood, Nathaniel Fowler, et al. "Ogden was the holder of several judgments obtained by various persons against Nathaniel Hill Fowler", charging Major Wood with selling the office of Corporate Attorney to Nathaniel Fowler in 1863. Cardozo issued this stay until the issue of why this action should not be removed to the Supreme Court of New York is decided.
