First edition of the Spanish-Otomi dictionary, by Luis de Neve y Molina, official interpreter of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Indies, Mexico. Lacking title page and frontis [as usual] but has the list of errata, engraved, dated 1768, covering p. 14-135, on an unnumbered leaf, inserted between p. 12 and p. 13. Pages 30 and 31 interchanged.

"The Othomi language differs in structure from those spoken in Mexico, having more resemblance to the language of Eastern Asia than any other. The author was the first to establish a proper system of characters, which has been retained." Sabin 52413.
