In both speeches and resolves Caleb Strong and the legislature argued against the constitutional amendment proposed by Kentucky to exclude the Federal judiciary from a number of cases that crossed state lines. Includes a notice that the amendment to ban the slave trade is felt to be inexpedient by a number of states.
