Parts 2/3 and 4/5 stitched out of order, wrappers quite fragile, a few detached, three heavily torn or chipped, but most pieces present, two with faint library stamp on front wrapper, plain wrappers front and rear creased, contents of each issue unmarked and quite clean with only the odd tear. These are the original 12 parts published from 1906 to 1916 (Catalogue Nos. 666, 672, 676, 682, 692, 702, 725, 734, 741, 750, 757, and 766) describing 17,397 items. The first historical catalogue of science published in any country. Later published in an illustrated edition ("which will be issued on the victory of the allies" according to an advertisement) in 1921, subsequently reprinted and expanded. Scarce in original parts. OCLC shows no complete copies. Cornell and Univ. of Illinois have incomplete copies, lacking part 12 and part 2 respectively. Copac and other European Libraries show no copies in parts.
