Twelve plates are called for, but a number of copies appear to have been bound without them all, ranging from 9 to the complete 12. Usually missing is "The author's march in the desert" and "Interior of an Egyptian house" (as in our copy and in the Huntington's copy). Translation of the Egyptian section of Montulé's "Voyage en Amérique, en Italie, en Sicile et en Egypte and Recueil des Cartes et des Vues du Voyage en Amérique."
