Orphans' Courts, which were predominant in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, dealt with probate matters as well as having jurisdiction of orphans. Both of this lots to be auctioned were on the road leading from Plainsboro to Dayton. There was a machinery manufacturer in Jamesburg N.J. (part of Middlesex county) named "Snedeker & Voorhees."
