The first two editions were quite short, comprised of only the first 25 pages of this, the third edition, in which extracts from the 'Anuario Militar de España of 1898' were added, and which thus comprises the bulk of the work; also includes the rosters and stations of troops in Cuba, Philippines, and Puerto Rico, with over a hundred pages on Cuba.
