Signed and sealed by Pierre Monroe Irving (1803-1876), Notary Public, the Bank of Commerce in New-York, claiming the presentation of Bill of Exchange for the amount of $2,333.50 on June 3rd, 1851 at the Manhattan Bank. Irving was the nephew and biographer of author Washington Irving, publishing "The Life and Letters of Washington Irving" in 4 volumes in 1862 & 1863.
